Love of learning

love of learning, virginia vendors, central virginia literacy initiatives for underserved children

About

Love of Learning volunteers visit shelters and subsidized housing complexes in Central Virginia once or twice a month.  While there, they perform read-alouds to increase children's access to literacy opportunities.  At the end of each visit, every child chooses a brand new, high-quality children's book to take home to build their at-home library.  (During events, we simply host a table to share information about our nonprofit and ocassionally raffle off gift baskets.)

About

The Knowledge Exchange is an organization of active professionals who recognize that quality tutoring and lectures are oftentimes not available for many. We believe that everyone is entitled to the best education available, regardless of background.

We are offering our services with the option of selecting how much you can pay. No matter how much you pay, everyone will be getting the same service. We simply believe in the kindness of others to consider supporting our mission when they can.

We are a diverse group of professionals in education, engineering, healthcare, and business. We specialize in K-12 education (general and special ed), select college topics, college prep (applications and tests), and personal coaching (resume writing, taxes, personal finance, physical training). Services are offered in virtual classrooms, 1on1 sessions and community events.

The Knowledge Exchange believes if our instructors are passionate about their subject and helping their fellow person, that makes the learning process better for the students. We strive to end educational inequality!
